This is the "Old French Fort".
Lt. Cahill is the silhouette on my right.
You can see the gate, the concrete tower and the flat concrete building.
I got the best night of sleep I had in RVN up in that tower. There was a slight breeze
and the bugs didn't bother me and I had concrete all around me. The only thing I had
to worry about was rolling through the square hole entrance in the middle of the floor.
We ran some good ambush patrols out of the fort and along the hills you can see in
the background.
