SP4 Clyde C. Collins earned the Purple Heart (Posthumously) for military merit and for wounds
received which resulted in his death from small armed gunfire wounds during a firefight with
elements of the 812th NVA REG vic. Thon Phuoc Dien, Thua Thien, Republic of Vietnam.
