101 airborne combat patch
David DeSoucy
combat medic badge
Medic
DeSoucey arrived at Fort Campbell, KY in 1967.
He went with the
101st Airborne Division to Vietnam, December 1967.
He was not assigned to 1st Platoon as Medic until 1968
He presently lives in Yucaipa, CA.
Dave DeSoucy will always be "Doc". I have never meet anyone who disliked the army more.
I heard from him after 35 years and he tells me he retired as a Captain in Special Forces.
He knows I dislike officers.

No one was more respected then the medic.
They were fearless and nothing could prevent them from answering the call of
"Medic".
