Airmobile
By the time, these soldiers arrived in the company there were no longer any Fort Campbell
paratroopers. The fighting has slowed down except for “Hamburger Hill” and the peace talks had
started.
In 1972, the Division departed from South Vietnam and returned to Fort Campbell, KY.
A Company - 2nd Battalion - 501st Infantry Regiment is deactivated.
