| Parr arrived at Fort Campbell, KY in 1967. He did not arrived in South Vietnam until 1968 Parr was assigned to 1st Platoon He presently lives in Albany, GA. |
| P/Sgt. Parr was scheduled to leave with the Division from Fort Campbell but was unable due to a medical problem. When Parr arrived in country he was assigned to the 1st platoon as Platoon Sergeant He held the position longer then anyone else that first year. Most of that time he was also acting Platoon Leader.
